Bethany Joy Lenz Reveals She Lost Millions To Cult Leader
Bethany Joy Lenz, the star of One Tree Hill, has recently written a memoir. In her new memoir, she shares new information about her ten years as a member of The Big House Family cult. It is in her memoir, “Dinner For Vampires,” she revealed how she ended up losing millions of dollars to the leader of that cult.
Bethany Joy Lenz First Experiences With The Cult
Bethany Joy Lenz never set out to join a cult. As the actress explained, she was an only child who only wanted to fit in with others, and have a place where she belonged. That was when she found The Big House Family cult. She believed she had found a “safe haven.” Because of this, she moved to the compound where the cult members lived.
Despite the hopes Lenz had in her newly found safe haven, it “morphed into something more sinister.” She found The Big House Family to be manipulative, abusive and more than willing to use fear to control its members.
Things Get Worse For Bethany Joy Lenz
It wasn’t too long after moving to The Big House Family compound, Bethany Joy Lenz begin to have some questions about what she had gotten herself into. There were signs things were not quite right.
The actress found herself with “minders” while she was working on set. Those minders were there to watch her. They were there to make sure she remained loyal to The Big House Family.
The Actress Marries The Cult Leader’s Son
The leader of The Big House Family managed to get Bethany Joy Lenz to marry his son. She and Micheal Geleotti were married in 2006. The now-divorced couple have one daughter together. It was during the time she was married to the cult leader’s son her father-in-law started stealing money from her.
How Much Money Did The Cult Leader Steal?
In “Dinner For Vampires,” the talented actress explains how he stole millions of dollars from her. The Big House Family leader also stole the money she earned from her work on One Tree Hill.
Thankfully, with the help of a One Tree Hill superfan, Bethany Joy Lenz was able to escape The Big House Family cult and her father-in-law, the cult’s leader. This was only after the actress gave birth to her daughter, Maria Rose, in 2011. The next year, in 2012, she divorced her husband.
