The “Hot Topics” she became known for on The Wendy Williams Show got started on-air at the radio station. She used to share all the latest gossip news and touch on controversial topics, which earned her a sizable fan base. It was her show that turned Wendy into a household name though. The Wendy Williams Show made its debut in 2008. Her signature catchphrases like, “How you doin'” and her willingness to talk about anything made her known as the queen of talk.
She has also had a number of other business ventures over the years, including her own clothing line and authoring several books. All of that didn’t come without its challenges though. She dealt with an extremely public divorce, has struggled with alcohol addiction, and battled several illnesses in the public eye.
Wendy Williams has worked through it all though and generally comes out on top. Given her recent diagnosis with progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, combined with shocking revelations in the Where Is Wendy Williams? docuseries, many people are wondering about the star’s finances. More specifically, how much is Wendy Williams worth now?
What Is Wendy Williams’ Net Worth?
Wendy Williams’ net worth is a shocking $500,000. That may come as a surprise to many people, considering her net worth was estimated to be at $20 million just last year.
Most of her previously large net worth stemmed directly from her work on The Wendy Williams Show. She earned $10 million a year, or around $55,000 per episode. Her last appearance on the show was in September 2021, prior to the program being completely canceled in February 2022.

After the program’s cancelation, it seems like Wendy’s money has dwindled quickly. Her bank accounts were frozen in February 2022 and she revealed in the Lifetime docuseries that she has “no money.”
The daytime TV star’s former financial advisor informed her bank that she was of “unsound mind,” which led a court in New York to place her under financial guardianship. The bank believed that she was at risk of exploitation and “undue influence.” In the Where Is Wendy Williams? documentary, it was revealed that she spent $100,000 on her son Kevin’s Uber Eats orders. So, her risk of exploitation may not have been exaggerated.
“I have no money, and I’m gonna tell you something,” Wendy stated in a trailer for the Lifetime doc. “If it happens to me, it could happen to you.”
