Direct TV Not Working? Subscribers Have Issues With Local Channels
Direct TV subscribers are having issues today as they can’t get some of their channels. When you turn on your television, it appears that your satellite dish isn’t working, but some channels work and others don’t. Are you having issues with Direct TV today?
Local Channels Not Working
If you are on Direct TV, your local channels may not be working. While on these channels, it says “771 Satellite Signal Issue.” This makes you think something is unplugged or there is a storm in the area, but the skies are clear. If you change to non-local channels, they seem to be working fine and you are able to watch them.
Down Detector shows that it has been down since around 3 a.m. A lot of subscribers have shared that they are having issues. This comes as a shock seeing that ATT cell phones went down last week and Direct TV is run by the same company. So what is going on?

Customer Service Unreachable
If you call into Direct TV, it tells you that there is a very high call volume and to try back at another time or get in touch with them online. You then end up getting hung up on instead of having a chance to talk to someone to fix things.
When will this be fixed? So far, Direct TV isn’t saying anything and viewers are just going to have to hope that it is fixed soon.

No local channels here on Eastern shore of Virginia
Same in Northern Virginina. Shows are not recording because of the issue.
I live in Red Bluff California and so far it is one station, NewsMax, that is constantly buffering and telling me my satellite may be blocked or there a storm in the area, none of which applies. I have not checked any “local” stations as you suggested.
I am in Dayton OH and normally record all of the morning newscasts. Today nothing. Cannot conncte to their live chat. Tried calling and sat on hold for over 30 minutes with their annowing talking pigeons. Am about ready to tell them where they can stick their lousy customer service
it’s not working in California either, only can steam our local tv stations today, no Satellites tv channels, only stuff like Syfy and cartoon network working, since they are not local tv channels, read its affecting all of USA.

I live in south jersey and my local channels have be out for about 2 weeks. I have been on a phone with a tech 2x for over and hour
I have been told I need new equipment that my equipment is out out of date. I have 4 receivers exact same model and 1 works wherever I put it.
If they don’t figure this out soon I am switching to cable.
