Southern Charm star Rodrigo Reyes was recently the victim of a hate crime and he is sharing some of the sad details. He did not end the season on the best note but now, he is in the middle of a horrible debacle. So, what exactly happened? Read on for more details.

Rodrigo Reyes has been a mixed bag on Southern Charm. He has been known as the one with the most stable relationship in the series. Then, he came into the Season 9 reunion very hot. He was not happy with how Olivia Flowers was treating Taylor Ann Green. Reyes believed that she was hammering Green for kissing Austen Kroll even after Green repeatedly apologized. Fans were mixed as to whether or not Flowers was a mean girl or justified in her actions. At the same time, Green dropped the bomb that Flowers had hooked up with show alum Thomas Ravenel.
This was essentially to prove that Olivia had betrayed her good friend, Kathryn Dennis who was Ravenel’s ex and the mother of two of his children. Of course, Flowers claimed it was not the same and something she had wanted to take to her grave. After the reunion, Reyes called Flowers a vile name in leaked DMs which made fans see a different side to him. They wondered how Olivia could ever forgive him and move on but they posed as buddies at Madison LeCroy’s clothing collaboration. Now, he may need all the support he can get.

According to @bravobuds, Rodrigo Reyes was attacked on Friday, February 23rd for being gay. He was called homophobic slurs and then a gun was pulled on him. Additionally, he was “sucker punched” and believed that those were his final moments. The Southern Charm star was scared he would never see those he loved and be left for dead. It still haunts him, just writing what transpired as he shared it on social media. However, he wanted to make it clear Charleston is not perfect by any means.
