At the beginning of the year, Jenna Dewan, star of The Rookie announced she was pregnant. Now that Season 6 will soon premiere, fans may be wondering whether or not Bailey and Nolan will have a baby this strike-shortened season. Will there be another baby this upcoming season?

Will Jenna Dewan’s Character Bailey Be Pregnant In The Rookie Season 6?
Last month, The Rookie star Jenna Dewan announced that she was pregnant with her third child, and her second with her fiancé Steve Kazee. The Devil On My Doorstep star was already in her second trimester when she made this announcement.
Therefore, since they just started filming Season 6, does that mean that Bailey and Nolan will be parents sometime soon? According to the recent TV Line interview with showrunner Alexi Hawley, they will be hiding Jenna’s bump.
We’ve had a lot of [real-life] pregnancies on the show over the years; this is going to be the first one that we don’t feature in the character. That being said, I think it’s fair to say that there will be conversations and conflict about the idea of whether they’re going to have kids, independent of Jenna literally being pregnant.
One of the Nolan and Bailey conflicts in The Rookie Season 6 could easily be about children. Nolan is already the father of a grown son. However, Bailey may be ready to start a family as soon as possible.
Nonetheless, the showrunner has chosen not to make them expectant parents this season. That is because Hawley revealed, “We already had story that we really liked that was about the conversations.” That means that the planned story is what they will go within the upcoming season.

Nolan Goes Through Issues Alone
Although Jenna Dewan and Nathan Fillion’s characters Bailey and Nolan are getting married in The Rookie Season 6, Nolan has other issues to face alone. According to the showrunner, he will be “going through a bunch of stuff, with and without Bailey.”
While Alexi Hawley did not want to spoil too much, the showrunner promised “some drama on the home front.”

The premiere of The Rookie Season 6 entitled “Strike Back” is on Tuesday, February 20, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on ABC. In addition, this episode will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
