Shooting Reported At Union Station End Of Kansas City Chiefs Parade

Reports of shots fired outside of Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri are out. Today was the big Kansas City Chiefs victory parade and that was going down when shots were heard. The team went down the street along with Donna Kelce handing out roses. The streets were full of people before shots were fired.

Shots Fired At Union Station

The Kansas City Police Department is sharing details. Their X account says, “Shots were fired west of Union Station near the garage and multiple people were struck. We took two armed people into custody for more investigation.” They went on to say, “Anyone nearby needs to leave the area as quickly and safely as possible to facilitate treatment of the shooting victims. Please avoid the Union Station parking garage area to allow first responders through.” They have released everyone from inside Union Station at this time.

Kansas City Police Search For Witnesses, More

The Kansas City police are staying active on their X account and sharing that they are looking for witnesses. The latest post says, “We request witnesses to the shooting to please go to the southwest corner of Pershing and Main.” It also says that they are still trying to determine how many shooting victims there are at this time.

The police were able to get two suspects into custody right away, but there are multiple victims being reported at this time. It is unknown if they were just civilians watching the parade or who the victims are so far.
