Colton Underwood Surprises Husband With Valentine’s Day Getaway
Colton Underwood has left his Bachelor days behind him in more ways than one. During his time on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette and his stint as The Bachelor, he was famously known as the “virgin Bachelor.”
After years of looking for and failing to find his perfect match on the ABC dating franchise, he came out as gay in 2021 during a televised interview with Good Morning America.
“The truth is I was ‘the virgin Bachelor’ because I was gay, and I didn’t know how to handle that,” Colton said during the interview.
The former football player had many high-profile romances over the years, including with Savannah Chrisley. But after publicly coming to terms with his sexuality, Colton Underwood married Jordan C. Brown. The two will celebrate their first anniversary in May.

But first, Colton has a sweet surprise in store for his husband. The pair were in Las Vegas over the Super Bowl weekend, and he spilled his secret Valentine’s Day plans with PEOPLE magazine.
“I’m taking my husband on a getaway trip and we’re going to the Redwoods. Don’t tell him that!” Colton confided in the reporter.

Since coming out, Colton Underwood has strongly supported the idea of a gay Bachelor lead, though it obviously won’t be him.
The former reality star gushed about married life and how it changed his outlook. “I’m in my PG Disney era,” he said to PEOPLE magazine about his life now.
Colton has been open in the past about his mental health, but it seems he’s found peace finally. “I’m loving the peaceful life that I have,” he added.
Bachelor Nation fans shouldn’t expect to see him hopping any fences again any time soon. He joked that his “days of sinning are over,” despite spending the weekend in Sin City.
