‘WCTH’ EP Reveals Season 11 Will Have Drama Leftover From Season 10
WCTH Season 10 was a rollercoaster ride that ended with a cliffhanger. Therefore, Hearties have a lot of questions that need to be answered now. Moreover, they want to know if the drama will be resolved in Season 11.
Thankfully, When Calls The Heart co-creator and executive producer Brian Bird has offered some information, including something he promises won’t happen again.
Will WCTH Season 11 Include A Love Triangle?
Before WCTH Season 10 ended, Elizabeth broke off her engagement with Lucas. She realized that she did not want to take her son to live in the big city if he became Governor.
However, throughout the second half of the season, Elizabeth and Nathan spent more time together. There seemed to be a lot of confusion on Elizabeth’s part. Furthermore, this resulted in a lot of Hearties describing this as a love triangle. Does that mean Season 11 will continue with this love triangle?
In an interview with Soaps, Brian Bird assured fans that this will not happen in the upcoming season. One of those reasons because he dislikes it when “people pick teams.”
No, we don’t see it as a love triangle. We don’t want to go there. You know, sometimes love triangles are things that are manufactured in storytelling.
Subsequently, Bird was very certain when he confirmed, “There’s no more love triangle in our minds. Season 11 is not a love triangle.”
Then, the series co-creator reminded fans that back in Season 1, they had a love triangle that almost backfired on them. Andrew Walker played Billy Hamilton, a coal miner who was a little sketchy. He tried to win over Elizabeth from Jack. But, their love prevailed. Yet, Brian admits that they “maybe milked it a little too much the first time around.”

When Calls The Heart Season 10 ‘Awkwardness’ Present Season 11 Drama
Brian Bird acknowledges that WCTH Season 10 included a lot of change, but admits that there will be “residue from the awkwardness and the challenges of what took place in Season 10.”
However, he did not elaborate on what Hearties should expect. But, at the end of last season, showrunner Lindsay Sturman assured fans that Chris McNally would be back for Season 11 even though Lucas Bouchard is now the Governor and should live miles away. But, it seems that Governor Bouchard will be hanging out in Hope Valley for quite some time.
Although there is no love triangle in the upcoming season, there still may be other drama resulting from relationships, or the town’s water.
