Is Krista Allen making the leap from soaps to the glamorous and often tumultuous world of reality TV? Rumors are swirling that she’s the latest addition to the star-studded lineup of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise. Keep reading for all the details.

Krista Allen Unceremoniously Fired From B&B

The 2023 Daytime Emmys should have been a happy occasion for soap veteran Krista Allen. She was up for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Dr. Taylor Hayes on The Bold & The Beautiful.

The actress faced an uphill battle when she took over the role in 2021. Fan-favorite Hunter Tylo played the character for three decades!

But instead of celebrating the nomination, Krista Allen revealed to Deadline hours before the award ceremony that she had been fired from the CBS sudser.

The head honchos told her back in October that they weren’t renewing her contract, but they never officially announced the news. Krista Allen chose to break the news herself after weeks of questions from her fans.

The actress, who once dated George Clooney, previously played Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives. Lisa Rinna originated the character in 1992 and was a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2014 to 2022.

Is She Joining Bravo’s Real Housewives Franchise?

After getting fired from the daytime drama, Krista Allen teased fans with the idea of a tell-all book. That idea might be on hold after a recent phone call the actress received. She took to her Twitter to share some exciting news with her fans.

I got a very cryptic call today … Can’t go into much because it was just some basic questions. But, I’m intrigued,” she tweeted.

What’s that got to do with the Real Housewives? That’s where it gets interesting. She used the hashtag #RHOA and asked her followers to tell her everything they know about the show.

She confirmed in the replies that she was approached to possibly join the show. “I think it’s pretty intense to do a show like that and I’m not sure my neurodivergent brain could function,” she wrote.

The call came a day after Kandi Burruss announced she was leaving RHOA after 14 seasons. Since the news broke, fans have been speculating that alums Kim Zolciak or Phaedra Parks could return to the Bravo show. But maybe Bravo wants the soap star instead.

Wouldn’t Be The First Soap Star

Krista Allen wouldn’t be the first soap star to join a Bravo show. As we mentioned, Lisa Rinna was on RHOBH for years. Another Days of Our Lives alum, Eileen Davidson, was also on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for three seasons.

She kept her day job on The Young & The Restless while she was on the Bravo show.

Do you think Krista Allen would make a good addition to the Real Housewives franchise? Sound off in the comments.
