1000-Lb. Sisters Success With Weight Loss
In August 2023, it was revealed that Tammy was down to 448 pounds. Her height and weight were documented in Kentucky courts after the TLC star was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The charges will be dropped as long as Tammy manages to stay out of trouble for the next six months.

Before undergoing gastric bypass surgery in 2022, Tammy weighed 717 pounds. She has had to adhere to a strict diet to drop 269 pounds.
Many fans have been surprised to see Tammy Slaton dedicate herself to her weight loss goals. Now, she is close to weighing less than her sister, Amy Halterman. In September, it was revealed that she only weighed 30 pounds more than Amy.
An inside source told The U.S. Sun that it is harder for Amy to focus on her weight loss initiatives because she is taking care of two children. Although Amy was able to lose 125 pounds to receive gastric bypass surgery and reach a healthy weight, she has slipped back into her bad habits.
Now, some fans think that Tammy Slaton may be following in her sister’s footsteps and gaining the weight back.
Tammy Slaton Shuts Down Haters On TikTok
Following her weight loss surgery, Tammy has been sharing updates with her fans and she has been looking more confident than ever. She has been flaunting her new figure in videos and even wore a skintight bodysuit around Halloween that showed her progress.
However, many people in the comments have questioned whether or not Tammy will stick with her weight loss plan. One of Tammy’s followers commented on a recent video of hers saying, “I hope you’re still focusing on losing weight. Looks like you’ve gained a few pounds! Not a hater, just a caring fan.”

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star made a video to respond to the fan’s comment, rolling her eyes at the accusation. She addressed her rumored weight gain first, “I have not gained any weight.” She then reiterated and said, “It was just the way the camera was angled.”
To avoid any further speculation about her weight, Tammy Slaton disabled the comments on the post. Despite rumors, it seems like she has changed for the better and is dedicated to her new, healthy lifestyle.
