Jordi Vilasuso’s Newborn In Critical Condition, Begs For Prayers
Beloved soap star, Jordi Vilasuso’s newborn daughter is in critical condition. As of now, he is doing what any father in his situation would do. Vilasuso is begging for prayers to help in any possible way. So, what exactly is the situation and when did this all begin? Read on for more details.
Jordi Vilasuso’s Newborn In Critical Condition, Begs For Prayers
Soap fans may know Jordi Vilasuso from a few different shows. He played Tony Santos on Guiding Light, Griffin Castillo on All My Children, and Dario Hernandez on Days of Our Lives. Yet, his most recent role was as Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless from 2018 through 2022. He is a Daytime Emmy winner so he has had great success in the soap field. However, he also takes great pride in his family. Jordi married Kaitlin Riley in 2012 and they welcomed two daughters, Riley, and Everly. Then, in September 2023, they shared they were having a third baby but it was coming with some complications.
Sadly, things seemingly did not get better once baby Lucy was born. According to The Sun, his newborn has been hospitalized with RSV. No doubt, this is extremely traumatic for Jordi and Kaitlin when it should be a beautiful time. He shared photos on Instagram of Lucy, wrapped up in a blanket and hooked to machines, with tubes in her nose. Jordi then added this message:
“Ah friends.. we come to you coveting your prayers yet again. I feel like all I do is ask you all for prayers or thank you for prayers.. I suppose that is just the season we’re in right now. We found out Monday that Lucy had RSV and by Monday night she had been admitted to the hospital w/ difficulty breathing. Last night, things unexpectedly took a turn for the worse and she was moved to NICU w/ what the doctors described as a partially collapsed right lung. I am still struggling to believe this as I type. Please please pray with us for miraculous healing for Lucy’s precious little body. We love her so much and just want her home and happy and in our arms.”

Immediately, Jordi Vilasuso and his family were surrounded by love and support for what they were going through. They received the prayers that they so desperately hoped would get them through this trying time.

After Kaitlin and Jordi Vilasuso shared what was going on with baby Lucy, the comments came in from family, friends, and fellow soap stars. General Hospital star, Maurice Benard, who had Jordi on his State of Mind series, shared this: “✝️☮️✝️.” Brandon Barash, a new second-time father himself, wrote:
- “Sending y’all all the love ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️.”
Jen Lilley added:
- “Praying right now!!! And I love that I can pray from Uganda while you are sleeping because it just shows He’s got all hours covered ❤️❤️”
It’s clear that he has an amazing support system and a lot of people who love him and his family. Sending love and light to Lucy for a speedy recovery as well as Jordi and family to feel calm in this storm.
