Charity Lawson Opens Up About Two Wedding Ceremonies & More

Earlier this month, Bachelorette Charity Lawson shared her plans to marry Dotun Olubeck in the fall of 2025. Now, she spoke out about why she delayed tying the knot with her Bachelorette winner, and she opened up about normalcy and why she feels that’s important.

Charity Lawson Won’t Marry Dotun Olubeku Just Yet

It seems that the Bachelorette star is being very cautious about rushing into a relationship that might fall apart later. Bear in mind, that they survived Dancing With the Stars, an extremely pressurized situation. This ABC star certainly seems to have her head screwed on when it comes to approaching marriage in a very level-headed way. She learned that keeping her partner happy was vital if they were to survive.

Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko attended couples therapy during Dancing With the Stars to prevent problems from arising. As far as she is concerned, preventative therapy is a better option. After all, it’s better than running into problems later on. Well, Bachelorette fans were happy to see her chosen for her role, but she seems to be leaving nothing to chance. It’s been a wild run and glittering run with loads of publicity. And now, she just wants to enjoy a little bit of “normalcy” before settling down as a married couple.

Dotun Olubeko & His Fiance Will Have Two Wedding Ceremonies

Confirmation of when the ABC star plans to marry Dotun Olubeko arrived when Gerry Turner tied the knot with Theresa Nist. Bachelor Nation reported that she did a Q&A and confirmed her heart is set on next year before they wed. When asked why she planned a delay, she answered, saying, “This question: I do indeed have time today to answer this one.”

Charity Lawson continued, saying:

I went from one TV show to another and Dotun and I are just now settling into normalcy and getting our bearings which we are loving every second of it. This is a normal time frame. I want to enjoy and live out our engagement and it’ll be here before you know it, as we have already started planning.

Additionally, they plan not one, but two ceremonies. However, she didn’t say if one of them would be televised. She and Dotun are very popular with Bachelorette fans, so they might wed on Bachelor Nation. While she is “excited” to become the wife of Dotun Olubeko, they need to make sure that everything is just right.

I think a lot of y’all forget or may not know what all has to go into wedding planning, and for me I personally do not want to plan a wedding in a rush of 5 months. I choose peace and not stress .
