The Bachelor Nation couple welcomed their first child, Gates, who arrived in January 2022. Little Max arrived in July last year, and they ended up being parents of two kids under two. That is always a juggle for young parents. The Bachelor in Paradise star still enjoyed the good days, but her husband, Adam struggled with the lack of sleep.

Perhaps Raven Gates Gottschalk made a good decision when she and her husband started doing preventative couples therapy in 2022. Despite the problems of two little kids, they seem to be doing okay at the moment. However, it’s not all sunshine and white beaches, as evidenced in a recent Q&A.

Bachelor In Paradise Q&A

Bachelor Nation reported that Adam’s wife took to Instagram Stories and did a Q&A for Bachelor Nation fans. The outlet mentioned that she talked about “gender disappointment, mental health, and friendship with Alexis Waters.” The boy-mom was asked about gender because she had two boys so far.

Raven Gates Gottschalk was cited as saying about gender disappointment:

I would be so blessed to have a daughter one day, but I don’t long for one. I never had gender disappointment, but I totally see how some moms do! I grew up with a brother, all boy cousins, I was the only girl in our neighborhood, etc so I am so used to boys!

Talking about her current emotional health, the Bachelor Nation star spoke about how she gets a lot of support from her friend Alexis Waters. In fact, she claimed she turns to her to talk about her mental health more than she does to Adam. “Sometimes,” she added, “he doesn’t understand. Sometimes NO one understands.” Mostly, she feels that it’s important to hang with people who add positivity.

As for coping with depression, the ABC star said:

Right now I’m in a good place but if you were to be a fly on the wall, you’d know that I’ve had some very dark days. Some of you may not like my answer. But the answer is God. Prayer.

What do you think of Raven Gates Gottschalk talking about the need for friendships like she has with Alexis Waters? What about gender and babies? The former Bachelor star doesn’t seem worried about it at all.
