‘Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Says She And Kody Aren’t Divorced
Although Sister Wives star, Janelle Brown has been very public about her and Kody Brown’s disagreements, she still says they aren’t divorced. Given that, she still acknowledges their struggles and gives her perspective on the matter.
Janelle Brown Says She And Kody Didn’t Divorce
While Christine Brown has been proud to let people know that she and Kody Brown are divorced, Janelle doesn’t see things the same way. During the last season of Sister Wives, Janelle was forward about her falling out with Kody. Although she attempted to be respectful about their differing opinions, Kody’s rage got the better of him and sent their relationship tumbling. By the end of Season 18, the plural marriage was over, leaving Kody and Robyn Brown in monogamous status. However, Janelle now says they didn’t get a divorce.
Janelle Brown Gives Her Perspective
After twenty-nine years of spiritual marriage, Janelle Brown in December 2022 says she and Kody split. However, she lets people know that she doesn’t consider herself “divorced.” Namely, she says, “Because we never were legally married, I can’t really say I’m divorced.” Notably, her perspective is, “I just say ‘I’m no longer with’ [him] when I explain it to outside people, I’m like, ‘I’m no longer with my partner.'”
How She Sees Herself Now
During the separation, Janelle Brown says she would say, “My partner and I split up.” However, now she prefers to proudly let people know she is currently, “Single.” Thinking about it she says, “I don’t know.” Then, elaborating she explains, “It’s nebulous for me at this point. It depends on who I’m talking to really. I guess I just consider myself single, I don’t consider myself divorced or separated or whatever. I just think I’m single.”

Christine And Janelle Brown Do Everything Differently
Although Sister Wives for “Life,” Christine, and Janelle Brown seem to view most things very differently. When it comes to divorcing Kody Brown, Janelle chose a logical out to avoid the term. But Christine’s personality immediately embraced it as a mantra of freedom from her ex. Undoubtedly, she says it is a “straight-up divorce.” Then making no bones about it she adds, “I like things clear-cut. I don’t like gray lines. I can tell you the date I was divorced.”
Although she was a divorcee in her mind, Kody didn’t know Christine thought it was a divorce until after she left him in November 2021. She adds, “I don’t think he was very happy about it.” Then she goes on, “But if we were in our church, there’s certain rules we’d have to follow and everything like that. But we’re not in that church, we haven’t been in that church for years.” But now, Christine is happily in a marriage with David Woolley.
