Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner reveals which song was banned from his wedding

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist spoke with Entertainment Weekly about their wedding playlist along with other things. It came up that Gerry got some heat for his playlist he shared on Instagram. When asked if he wanted to say anything in his defense, Gerry said, “I’m not sure I need to defend anything. That’s just my personal preferences for music. I was asked for a playlist to provide for the wedding, not the actual pieces that will be used in the wedding. Those things are very important, and Theresa’s appreciation of music is huge. It’s very important to her. She’ll be making those choices. My [list] is for when we go off and get crazy and have the adult beverages.”

Both Gerry and Theresa were asked which artists they had to have played at the wedding. She said for her it was Van Morrison and for Gerry, she suggested maybe Pink.

Gerry replied that yeah that would be good but it’s not a dealbreaker. He was more excited to be marrying the love of his life.

When asked which songs they would want to be banned from their playlist, Gerry had one. He said, “How about that “I like big butts and I cannot lie” song? That’s a big, fat no.” Theresa agreed with him noting that would be bad.

Theresa said music is very important to her because it sets the mood for everything. She had quite a long list of songs she would love to have played.
