In the wake of her split from Ethan Plath, Olivia is finally free to be herself. The marriage of Ethan and Olivia seems to have been a botched attempt at an opposites-attract situation. The duo couldn’t have been further apart on some of their core beliefs. Sadly, fans now believe this relationship may have been doomed from the jump.

A husband and wife sharing different beliefs isn’t necessarily a deal breaker. In fact, many would argue that two people always agreeing on everything makes for boring conversation. There, however, are some core topics that differing beliefs can cause huge fractures in a relationship. Politics happens to be one of the biggest.
Per InTouch Weekly, fans of Welcome to Plathville are now realizing Ethan and Olivia Plath did NOT share a common ground when it came to politics. In fact, their political beliefs can be described as black and white regarding how different they are.
When families come together, there are certain topics off the table for discussion. Politics tends to make the list because people get heated while defending where they stand. Unfortunately, it becomes much harder to have differing political views while under the same roof.
She Recently Opened Up About Her Views
A few days before Christmas, Olivia Plath appeared as a guest on the “Pink Shade” podcast. During her appearance, she revealed her political views are significantly more progressive these days. This means her beliefs are as far from the beliefs of Ethan as they could be.
“I was raised that way and I didn’t have autonomy, so I’m obviously gonna have an issue with it. But at the end of the day, like if that’s how Ethan wants to live, that’s how Ethan wants to live. And I think I was in denial for a long time, and I always told him like, look, we’re night and day when it comes to politics.”
Sadly, Olivia Plath is now realizing she may have spent years in denial about who she was and what she believed during her marriage with Ethan. Now that they have split up, she’s free to discover who she is and what she believes.
Learning Olivia Plath masked her beliefs during her marriage with Ethan, fans are in agreement this marriage was always doomed. Furthermore, fans are happy Olivia is no longer hiding who she is.
