‘1000-Lb. Best Friends’ Fans Think Show Is Over
Fans of the hit TLC reality series 1000-Lb. Best Friends now believe that the show is officially over. More so, they have gathered enough clues to make their case and it seems fairly valid. So, has the show possibly come to an end? Read on for more details.
1000-Lb. Best Friends Fans Think Show Is Over
Viewers have fallen in love with the cast of 1000-Lb. Best Friends. They love watching them as they try to accomplish their weight loss goals together. Additionally, they are doing what they can in life and attempting to get the most that they can out of each day. The main cast are Vannessa Cross, Meghan Crumpler, and Ashely Sutton and they have had their highs and lows. Both in their weight loss journey and their personal friendships. Ashely has had the biggest setbacks as she was eager to find out why she could not lose weight. Finally, Meghan gave women of all shapes and sizes hope as she was planning her wedding during Season 2.
Now, the show has only run for two seasons and fans had hoped for a renewal sometime soon. The last episode aired in March 2023 so around now would be the proper time for a Season 3 announcement. Unfortunately, fans have not heard anything and they started a Reddit thread. The OP wrote this:
- Is this show over? It wasn’t included in TLC’s press release listing of shows premiering in 2024. I also feel like January was when season 1 and season 2 premiered. Anyone know if the show got canceled?
Of course, other 1000-Lb. Best Friends fans chimed in with what they knew and how they felt. Additionally, some simply commented their thoughts on the show in general:
- I was just discussing this with a friend… dying to know.
- At this point I think it’s a safe bet, sadly.
- I think regardless, the show had kind of naturally just run its course anyways. Vanessa was the only one who was remotely serious about losing weight.

All About Vannessa
Many of the comments were really geared toward Vannessa Cross. Fans felt that the show should be rebranded from 1000-Lb. Best Friends to focus solely on her. They believed she was the one who was really driven and had a true story. However, someone did note that she always responds to comments. Yet, when someone asked about another season, she said nothing. Therefore, she is either hiding the true return date or knows it is not coming back.
