‘General Hospital’ Ingo Rademacher Gives Big Lawsuit Update
Ingo Rademacher lost his lawsuit over General Hospital firing, but he’s not backing down. What’s the latest update?
Fired Star Back To General Hospital
In 2021, the soap opera General Hospital put two of its biggest stars on the chopping block. Its home network, ABC, is owned by Disney. At the time, Disney implemented a strict vaccine mandate requiring ABC’s TV show’s cast and crew to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
However, Steve Burton and Ingo Rademacher refused to get the shot, citing religious exemptions. Neither received an exemption and were let go after declining to get vaccinated.
After leaving GH, Burton joined the daytime sudser Days of Our Lives as Harris Michaels, a role he previously played in the 1980s. In fact, it was his first soap role ever in 1988.
Steve Burton announced earlier this week that he was leaving DOOL after just a year in the role. Fans quickly clamored for his return to GH. Just days later, their wish was granted.
During a primetime special to celebrate 60 years of General Hospital, Steve Burton made an appearance to tease his return to the soap.
What about Ingo Rademacher?
After getting fired, the Australian native filed a lawsuit against ABC, alleging that the vaccine mandate was unconstitutional.
The court ultimately sided with the network, but Rademacher isn’t done fighting.
Ingo Rademacher Gives Big Lawsuit Update
A day after Steve Burton’s shocking news, Ingo Rademacher took to Instagram to address the lawsuit. He said he originally filmed the video before Burton’s GH return was announced. He made it clear that he has no ill will toward his former co-star getting his job back.
“I recorded this on January 1 but hadn’t had time to post it. I say this because the news of Steve Burton coming back on the show was announced today and a big congratulations to him,” he clarified in the Instagram caption.
In the pre-recorded video, Rademacher shared an update on the court proceedings. He revealed that he is currently appealing the decision. He alluded to hoping to settle the case before it goes to trial.
The actor believes he was fired for his political beliefs. He further alleged that documents found during the discovery process of the court case show that ABC was going looking for a way to fire him and used the mandate as an excuse.
Rademacher claims that other members of the cast and crew share his political beliefs but aren’t outspoken about them like he is. He seemingly threatened the release of texts from his former co-workers if the case goes to trial.
Call Out Former Co-Star
He specifically mentioned Nancy Lee Grahn in the video clip. Grahn is an outspoken Democrat and has tangled with Rademacher in the past over politics.
His point in mentioning his co-star’s name was that she was never reprimanded or fired for posting about her political beliefs, but he was.

- Absolutely agree with you. It’s wrong hiw [sic] you were treated. They sure didn’t fire Nancy Graham [sic] and should!
- So why is it ok for Nancy to go off on social media about politics?!
- More in Hollywood have to stand up. The blackballing of conservatives on show business is blatant discrimination

This seems nation wide. The Biden Admin. is having banking accounts searched for key words to section them out. I believe the Libs are planning on removing them from Biden’s administriation and major departments for ‘unknown’ reasons. Its obvious but not gonna provide what I have seen on TV.
