CBS has released teaser art, and some story details about the premiere of NCIS: Hawaii Season 3. This third season is extra special because NCIS: Los Angeles alum LL Cool J is reprising his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna this season. He will be guest-starring this shortened season. Because of the strikes, the season is not 20+ episodes. Instead, it will be 10-14 episodes. That number has not yet been revealed.

What has been released about the upcoming season? Also, when is the Season 3 premiere? Here are all the details.

NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 Teaser Reveals Cast

On Tuesday, TV Insider shared the new poster for NCIS: Hawaii Season 3. What did they have to share? Firstly, the poster includes who is back this season, as well as a new, but familiar face. LL Cool J is prominent in this poster. He is reprising his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna. However, originally, he was going to be a recurring character. However, since the NCIS: Los Angeles alum is on the Season 3 poster, it surely indicates he is a major player this shortened season.

Besides LL Cool J, the entire team is returning to the CBS military procedural series. That includes Jason Antoon as Ernie Malik, Alex Tarrant as Kai, Tori Anderson as Kate Whistler, Yasmine Al-Bustami as Lucy Tara, Noah Mills as Jesse Boone, and Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant.

Season 2 ended with a lot of surprises and mixed emotions. Jane Tennant took off on her own to hunt down a bad actor from her CIA days. However, she needed Whistler’s help to go to Venezuela to stop him. Coming to the rescue was Sam Hanna. Although the LA series ended with Hanna in the Moroccan desert, he “happened to be in the neighborhood” of Venezuela. After Tennant thanked him, he joked about him being at the right place. Could there be a reason that he tracked down Jane?

This was a cameo with a purpose.
