NCIS: Hawaii Ready To Start Production

It has been just a few weeks since the SAG-AFTRA strike was resolved. Now, studios are rushing to salvage their broadcast season. This includes CBS. Therefore, NCIS: Hawaii is now preparing to start production on Season 3.

According to TV Line, production on the third season starts on Monday, December 4. That is because NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 will premiere 10 weeks later, on Monday, February 12.

CBS has not announced how many episodes they will make. However, it will be between 10-13.

What makes this series unique is that before they start production, they will first stop for a tradition. They will have a Hawaiian blessing ceremony. This special blessing was done in the previous two seasons, and it is a big part of embracing where they film and the local culture.

Officiating the ceremony is Kahu Aukai Kekoa. This ceremony includes the royal maile leis, the welcoming chant, Oli Aloha, and the closing prayer, Pule Ho’oku’u.

What is unique this year is that this blessing will honor that the series will be filming Season 3. The ceremony will celebrate “the connections that the number three represents with the past, present, and future, as well as togetherness, completeness as a team, and moving forward as a family.”

This seems to foreshadow what fans should expect in NCIS: Hawaii Season 3.

What Should Fans Expect In NCIS: Hawaii Season 3?

Because the NCIS: Hawaii writers were on strike when Season 2 ended, they did not share the usual sneak peek for the next season. However, at the end of Season 2, the team was blindsided by Jane Tennant’s unexpected actions.

Now, Tennant has to face the consequences. Who will stick with her, who will test her, and who will question her? This season promises to be packed with drama and action.
