‘Moonshiners’ Digger Manes Reveals His Blood Disorder On Show
During tonight’s big premiere of Moonshiners, Digger Manes shared that he has something going on with his health. There is some confusion on if this is the start of Season 13 or a continuation of Season 12. What did Digger reveal?
Digger Reveals What The Doctor Shared
At the very start of this episode, Digger was talking and explaining what the doctor said to him. It sounded pretty scary. He revealed that the doctor broke some news to him. Digger said he had a “rare blood disease” and didn’t have much time left. He went on to explain that he wanted to leave his mark on the world before he passed away.
Later in the episode, it looked like they would show more about what is going on with Digger. It didn’t happen until the end of the episode. He explained that he has had the mindset that if you go to the doctor you are weak. Instead, he is going to need to lean on a doctor during this time. He said, “I’ll fight with everything I’ve got.” Digger shared that he had some big ideas and then they went back to business. There should be more about this during the rest of the season of Moonshiners.
Is Digger Manes Dying?
Luckily, Digger Manes isn’t dying. He went to his Facebook page and shared an update about how he was doing tonight after the show aired. Here is what he said in the update:
“Hey guys Digger here… I want to follow up with the news that the show aired tonight. The production company did film Mark and myself when I gave him the news after I first received my diagnosis of Luekemia. We only see the episodes when everyone else does so we don’t know what exactly they have on film or even what of it they use in the Final Cut. After more extensive tests my definite diagnosis is Chronic Lymphocytic Luekemia a condition that is not terminal(ain’t no fun though)probably will just make me miserable until something else kills me! Your prayers you’ve extended are more than welcomed and felt. Keep em coming! God is always in control! Continue to watch this season Shine On! Love Y’All!”

Digger prayers are going up for you and your family. As a wife who’s husband has mantle cell lymphoma, I can feel for you wife. So true what you said about God is in control. He has you in his hands and will guide you through each step.
Never just rely on the doctors advice if you do not feel comfortable with it. Seconds opinions are always a good options. After my husband completed his intensive inpatient treatment ( during Covid), testing began on where he stood. There is a fairly new test out there called MRD minimal residual disease. They can go as low as finding 1 cancer cell in a million.
Just keep you options open and Trust the Lord for guidance.🙏🏻🙏🏻
I forgot to tell you, we got our second opinion for MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Huston, Texas. A great hospital and doctors are top notch, we believe the best in the field of specialties.
MD Anderson is the best in the world for cancer treatment. My brother-in-law had Stage 4 lung cancer and was completely cured by experimental medicine in had at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. This was the same experimental trial that President Carter took. Cancer free 7 years later! All things are possible through prayer and God Almighty. Digger I wish you the best my friend and my prayers are with you as you are on my church prayer list. God Bless!

Digger, my mother was diagnosed with CLL in 1985 and lived until 2018, she did receive chemotherapy which left her CLL in remission. Praying for your healing and recovery!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Digger there is someone up above who is bigger than your illness that can heal you. He is the only one who can make the decision when we leave this old world. We love you and enjoy watching you and Mark! You guys are our favorite! We will be watching you and see great news about you in the future.
my sister has a type of leukemia that in 1996 I gave bone marrow to transplant to her and she has been in remission since I am so glad to hear your illness is not terminal my heart dropped when I heard the news on the show last night. Hey Digger, I heard the news you received from your Doctor. I know first hand the way you feel because I have CML Leukemia. Was diagnosed in January 2009 and just to be plain the first year or two it was a tough battle. Cancer center in Boone, N.C. put me on an oral chemo. pill and its kept my CML dormant as of today. The name of the drug is Gleevec 400mg five days a week. I started out taking it every day until I started retaining fluid, that is why I take it five times a week. The best thing that helped me was the medication and mostly Praying and the prayers of the people that knows me. I could write a book of what I have been through the past fifteen years( other health problems also) that has risen because of my CML, but when its your time to leave this ole earth it doesn’t matter if there were a room full of doctors that treats this disease GOD has a day that each of us is going to face death if the LORD doesn’t return before then.
