While it has been an ongoing tradition for seemingly “forever” for The Kardashians stars to have a Christmas card, it didn’t happen this year. In its absence, fans began to wonder what was going on. But Khloe Kardashian sets the record straight by giving fans the reason the infamous card wasn’t available in 2023.

2023 Has Come And Gone

Notably, The Kardashians have famously hosted an annual Christmas Eve party and posted their yearly Christmas card for many many years. Although 2023 just wasn’t the same without the family’s legendary Christmas card, there a many past cards fans can revisit. And the Kardashian-Jenners still held to their winter holiday bash even if the card didn’t come together. Previously, the card has boasted a different theme and concept every year showing off the members of the family. The tradition dates back to the early years when Kris and Robert Kardashian were still married.

Kris Jenner Makes Her Christmas Card

Although the big family photo didn’t happen this year, in November, Kris Jenner sent out her combo Christmas card with her boyfriend, Corey Gamble. But her card conveniently pushes her new partnership with Shutterfly. Within the photo, Kris and Korey made their second annual couple’s card to send out. Notably, Kris has always enjoyed The Kardashians stars making a new family card, “I have been sending holiday cards since the first year Kourtney was born because it’s important to me to document what we were doing during that year,” she tells TODAY. “Last year was extra special when Corey and I created our first holiday card together on Shutterfly. But, I have cards dating back to the seventies, it’s so crazy!”

Khloe Kardashian Spills Why There Isn’t A 2023 Card

When fans became disappointed that the tradition of The Kardashians was ignored, she took to Instagram to let people know what was going on. In her post, she shows a past photo of everyone sporting matching maroon SKIMS. Then she captions: “As our family grew it got a little trickier (anyone with kids knows how impossible it is to get multiple kids to look at the camera lol). And so we decided to leave that tradition in the past for now, but I’m all about taking as many photos as we can.” Seemingly, the special tradition is on hold for now.

The Kardashians Keep Everyone Updated

However, not continuing the large family photo didn’t stop the Kardashian-Jenners from keeping the world up-to-date on holiday fun. Throughout the holiday season, Kris Jenner added posts of Myriah Carey, The Grinch, and many festive photos. And Kim posted beautiful winter wonderland scenes captured at the family Christmas party. And she also added jolly videos of North West singing. Likewise, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker gave the gift of photos of their new bundle, Rocky Thirteen, and his extravagant first Christmas. Additionally, other seasonal gifts, decorations, and activities were shared by multiple Kardashian-Jenner family members.

For now, while Kris Jenner loves the time-honored tradition of giving cards, she opted to skip the chaos of wrangling her ever-growing family. But The Kardashians stars may bring it back someday.
