Travis added a caption explaining exactly what happened to his leg. He also shared whether he still had plans to run in the marathon tomorrow.

“I strained my iliopsoas tendon, but I’m still running this marathon.”

According to Your Online Practice Education, this tendon is located in Travis Barker’s hip. It is located in the front of his hip socket to be more specific. Furthermore, straining the tendon happens when it is overused in a repetitive motion. Unfortunately, this means he likely overused the tendon while he was preparing for the marathon.

Per the National Institutes Of Health, medical experts advise against walking or running after training this tendon. This recommendation is made to give the tendon time to properly heal. So, Travis’ decision to continue to run in the marathon could make his tendon worse.
