TLC Fans Predict ‘Life After Sister Wives’ Rebranding
Sister Wives star Kody Brown and his ex-wives didn’t hold back with their accusations throughout Talk Back and Look Back. The specials ended with the Brown family only realizing how miserable they were during Season 18. Some of the patriarch’s lies were also uncovered and further emphasized as they reacted to past seasons. TLC is now done showcasing the specials, which received tons of positive feedback. Sister Wives: Talk Back & Look Back Highlights
TLC’s newest specials have finally wrapped up after two episodes. One of the main highlights of Talk Back was about Janelle denying Christine’s assessment that she needed “encouragement” to leave Kody. According to the 54-year-old, her former sister wife’s narrative frustrates her. “Kody and I are no longer going to be together, and she acts like I’m sitting here needing encouragement to leave, I need to be shown that it’s OK. And that’s just bulls*** because I have left,” the Sister Wives star explained.
She added that their assets are still scrambled in Flagstaff, and she still has kids there. The mother of six also said that she likes Flagstaff. “And the fact that I’m not dating and I’m not trying to move out of state, it’s like I’m not sitting here needing to be told that I have the power to leave. I’ve left, I just didn’t move,” she added.
Meanwhile, Meri and her friend, Jenn, caught the attention of many during the Look Back finale. Some Redditors even created a thread discussing how Jenn is a true friend and commented on her accurate remarks, especially to Robyn and Kody. Others even suggested that TLC should give them a spinoff.
Fans Predict A Rebranding
Some Redditors discussed TLC’s message during the Talk Back finale. They showed some texts to the screen saying, “The Browns are sitting down to re-watch the finale episode of Sister Wives” just moments after Kody stated, “Discussing the final episode of the season.” According to the poster, it seems that the network is hinting at a possible end to the Brown family for good.
However, some Reddit users doubt that TLC would just ditch such a popular show. Others also pointed out that the network is known for its “rebranding,” which is easily possible for Kody and his exes.
- “I think it IS the finale of “Sister Wives” as we know it and it’s going to be retitled to something else like “Life After Sister Wives”. So it will be a whole new show. The show is getting more attention now than it has in YEARS,” one person said.
- “Yeah, the show is a cash cow for them right now and Kody looooooves attention and fame, and without the show none of these women outside of Mary and her Lularoo hawking have any substantial income,” another commenter added.
Sister Wives: Season 19 In The Works?
Some Redditors from the same thread also discussed that Season 19 is already in the works. It was also confirmed previously by Christine and Janelle. The former third wife even claimed that viewers will see her in proximity with Kody again.
- “They were still filming in March of this year. The filming did not end. We’re going to see more of Multy, and Tony on it that much I do know,” one Reddit user said.
- “I think they are going to milk 2 more seasons and wrap up with an even 20!! Or do like has been said above, change the name and focus on them as individual family units, with some Janelle/Christine crossover,” one person chimed in.
TLC has yet to share their plans for the Brown family. There are still two specials left for the franchise, and they’re about Christine and David Wolley’s wedding. It will premiere on January 7 and 14, 2024.
