Matt James chose not to propose to Rachael Kirkconnell in the Season 25 Bachelor finale. The two briefly split up amid controversial photos of Rachael that were deemed racist.
Their split didn’t last long, and they’ve been back together since April 2021. The two share the common interests of travel and food. They often document their adventures on social media.
Matt loves to troll his girlfriend on Instagram by posting the most unflattering videos of her eating.
On the other hand, Rachael’s Instagram is full of thirst trap bikini shots and cute photos with Matt. She wrote a heartfelt post earlier this month to mark his birthday.
The two spent the holidays together. Rachael shared a sweet snapshot of the two posing in front of a Christmas tree. Matt showed his girlfriend affection by kissing her cheek.

Matt and Rachael have been together for almost three years now. They recently bought a house together in Florida and shared their baby plans.
The two have been open about not rushing into an engagement, but are they finally ready?
Rachael Kirkconnell shared a surprise Matt gifted her for Christmas, and fans think it’s a huge hint that he’s planning to propose.
“My love surprised me with a trip to Japan next month!!,” she wrote on an Instagram reel. She asked her followers to send her all the recommendations for their trip.
“This has been on my bucket list for years,” she added.
Bachelor Nation fans took to Reddit to discuss what the trip means. “I really hope this is it for them!” the OP wrote, adding a ring emoji.
Others agreed that it hints at a proposal.
However, the excitement about the trip wasn’t the main topic of discussion. Matt’s facial hair dominated the comments, with many saying the same thing:
