Chris Harrison Ex-‘Bachelor’ Host – Where Is He Is Now?
The former host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette resurfaced in January 2023 after his long silence. Chris Harrison launched his podcast, The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever … With Chris Harrison during this time. Harrison came forward and told his heartwrenching side of the story after almost two years of staying quiet. Unfortunately, he had a very tangled interaction in 2021 that led to his resignation. Chris Harrison gave fans some closure and insight into the behind-the-scenes retaliations that took place. Chris recalls how messy it was at the time it happened. Generally, when he claimed that people were out to get his job he was given even more flack. To clarify, he said this incident just illuminated an existing race issue on the show. Chris Harrison’s Heartbreaking Split
Chris Harrison faced an impossible situation in 2021. Stakes were high during a politically charged time in the United States. Notably, Season 25 of The Bachelor introduces a black bachelor, Matt James. Controversy swirled when a 2018 photo surfaced of contestant and love interest Rachael Kirkconnell attending an antebellum-themed party.

An Entertainment Tonight interview with fellow Bachelor contestant Rachel Lindsay showed Chris Harrison on an episode of Extra discussing the racist controversy that had arisen. During the show, Rachel told Harrison that the photo “wasn’t a good look.” Harrison clarifies, “Is it a good look in 2018 or is it not a good look in 2021?” Rachel gives a clear picture to remind Harrison of the importance of Kirkconnell’s decision. As an example, she asked him to think about if she was at an antebellum-themed party as a Black woman her position would be vastly different. After reflecting, he stepped down in February 2022 from his 20-year run as the host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
Where Is Chris Harrison At Now?
Chris Harrison made his way back home to Austin, Texas to focus on his current life. Without reservation, he gives his fiancée the credit for this move. To illustrate, he posted in an Instagram post in 2022, with the two of them on the cover of Austin Lifestyle Magazine. Chis Harrison stated, “I always hoped I’d be able to return to my roots and settle back in my home state of Texas someday, but I never dreamed it could be this good. Excited about the next chapter!” Also, Chris Harrison announced that his daughter, Taylor, and his son, Joshua, are going to Texas Christian University. Similarly, he shared another Instagram post on National College Decision Day congratulating his daughter.

According to his website, Chris Harrison is an ordained minister with Universal Life Church. He customizes weddings for his clientele. While the prices aren’t included on the website, fans can make their dream come true if they contact him. Currently, he spends very little time watching The Bachelor, but admitted that he does check the ratings. Chris gives credit saying, “The show changed my life. I’m grateful to The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, I will be forever grateful. There is no animosity.”
