Reality television stars all over the world are preparing to celebrate the winter holidays with their family members. But just ahead of Christmas Day, TLC’s Dr. Now has a special message for everyone.
If anyone is struggling to find last-minute holiday ideas, the My 600-Lb Life star has a pretty great suggestion. However, that’s not quite what fans really took away from his Christmas video.
Although Dr. Now has some pretty recognizable characteristics, he threw fans for a loop when he decided to shake things up a bit. See what the famous doctor looks like right now!
Dr. Now shakes up his iconic look ahead of Christmas Day
My 600-Lb Life has been on TLC since 2012. Over the last 11 years, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan has changed very little about his appearance in that time. Over the years, fans have spotted more signs of aging, but that’s about all.
For Christmas 2023, the 79-year-old decided to try something different.
Since it’s the holidays, the TLC star decided to take the opportunity to promote his merchandise and Cameo messages.
Dr. Now opens the Instagram video with his classic “How y’all doing?” before diving into his Christmas promo. The bariatric surgeon wanted to remind his fans that he offers personalized messages on the platform. But what everyone really noticed was Dr. Now’s new facial hair.
Onscreen, he’s fairly clean-shaven. But the surgeon is looking pretty scruffy in the video. Check it out here:

When can fans expect new episodes of My 600-Lb Life?
My 600-Lb Life fans felt incredibly confused back in the spring when the season stopped abruptly. There were some rumors that it would pick back up in the fall, but that didn’t happen. Now, reports confirm that My 600-Lb Life Season 12 will premiere on TLC in the spring of 2024.
My 600-Lb Life will return to the network at 8 PM Eastern time on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. But that’s not the only good news. My 600-Lb Life: Where Are They Now? is also coming back at 8 PM Eastern time on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Fans will be glad to see Dr. Now again, but it’s not clear if his facial air will make an appearance onscreen.
