Therapy Wasn’t Priority For Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell’s Kids?
In a shocking update, fans of Mama June Shannon have learned therapy was not at the top of the list for Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell’s kids. This update as fans floored as they believe Kaitlyn and Kylee should have IMMEDIATELY started getting therapy following their mother’s passing.
Per a recent report from TMZ, therapy from the girls wasn’t something the family had given any real thought to until just a few days ago. Furthermore, the topic of therapy only came up with the family realized the girls were having a difficult time coping with the death of their mother.
Therapy Wasn’t Priority For Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell’s Kids?
Sources close to the family tell TMZ that Kaitlyn was very involved in her mother’s cancer battle. This included remaining by her mother’s side and making sure she took all of her medication.
The outlet also revealed that Kaitlyn originally had zero plans of speaking at her mother’s funeral. She, however, ultimately had a change of heart and decided to express herself.
Despite Kailyn finding a way to speak at the funeral, the family has realized she may benefit from therapy moving forward.

What About Kylee?
At eight years old, Kylee has had a more difficult time understanding that her mother has passed away. Living with her biological father, Kylee did return to school. She’s been getting a lot of support from family and friends during this difficult time.
Sources also tell TMZ that Kylee and Kaitlyn regularly talk on the phone to grieve the passing of their mother. While the family now agrees Kailtyn needs therapy, there hasn’t been much discussion on whether Kylee needs it too.
Fans Are Frustrated With This Family
In a new thread on Reddit, one fan argues that therapy should have been one of the very first things offered to these poor girls. Likewise, most fans agree it was a huge mistake to split the girls up after their mother passed away.
A second fan added they were also shocked the family was still just “considering therapy.” Here’s what some other fans had to say about it:
- “They are doing nothing but exploiting the grandkids, especially the older one for financial gain! Pathetic and disgusting!”
- “The second anna received the mews it was terminal, they should have gone to therapy AND a custody agreement should have been in place”
- “How are they only CONSIDERING therapy?! What????? These kids should have been in therapy since a month, at most, from their mom’s diagnosis.”
Most fans agreed Anna’s girls should have been put in therapy as soon as she received a terminal diagnosis. Likewise, fans can’t believe Anna didn’t have a concrete custody plan in place for her children.
