‘Golden Bachelor’ Sandra Mason Shares Dating Advice
Since exiting The Golden Bachelor, Sandra Mason has seen a huge uptick in the amount of dating she is doing. In an exclusive interview with Bachelor Nation, she discusses some of the dating tips she has learned since she dated Gerry Turner on-screen in front of the world.
Sandra Mason Opens Up To The World
After Sandra Mason said goodbye to The Golden Bachelor, new opportunities opened once she returned home. Although she didn’t walk away hand in hand with Gerry Turner, she captured many of the viewers’ hearts with her confidence and unique sense of humor. Notably, from the moment she stepped out of the limo to when she left, she was a character through and through. Upon arriving at the mansion, Sandra led Gerry in a zen practice, taking in deep breaths and releasing them with a run of expletives. But she wasn’t just free with releasing her breaths, she also quickly was recognized for her flatulence as well. And she was also put on blast for her pure dedication to the show by skipping her daughter’s wedding.

Sandra Mason’s Dating Advice
Now, The Golden Bachelor contestant, Sandra Mason is giving dating advice. During a recent interview with Bachelor Nation, she discussed what it has been like in the dating department since leaving the show. When asked by the BN interviewer, “Since coming off the show, have you been dating at all? Any new prospects?” With her keen sense of humor, Sandra responds, “Well, I was going to say, it depends what you mean by prospects…” Then Sandra says, “The answer is emphatically yes,” adding, “But I need to do some heavy-duty screening of these men.”
As she continues the interview, she says, “I have a huge group of gentlemen who are reaching out.” But she points out some of the drawbacks, “Some are too young to even think about and some live far away in foreign countries.” Surprisingly, she also says, “I’ve even received a love letter. The letter said that I was wonderful on the show and that he would love a chance to meet me. It was all kinds of superlative adjectives to tell me that he wants me in his life. It has been cute in a way but also kinda creepy.”
What Does Dating After The Golden Bachelor Look Like?
Afterward, the Bachelor Nation interviewer asked if she had a better idea of what she is looking for in a relationship since the show. Sandra Mason says, “Yeah, a little bit. I know a little more about maturity and independence and the ability to date a guy who’s dating others. That was new and not out of the realm of possibilities. I haven’t had a huge change in how I will date going forward, but the show definitely just opened my eyes to new perspectives and opportunities.”

Additionally, since The Golden Bachelor, Sandra Mason has kept up with the public on Instagram. In the interview, she says, “I have had almost 100 celebrity sightings.” Continuing, “That’s what I’m calling them. I go to the grocery store and people all want to take selfies.” Notably, she is enjoying the fame for now, “It’s all just fun and I’m having fun with it while it’s happening. Who knows if this newfound fame will last?! It would be great if it did, but this is all just fun.”

What Were The Biggest Takeaways?
But more than anything, Sandra Mason says she has learned about patience during The Golden Bachelor experience. Additionally, she offered advice for other singles. She says, “No one is going to come knocking on your door to date you. You have to be out and about and willing to chat with people.” She made some suggestions for mingling. Offering, “Join some clubs and just expand your daily life so that the opportunity to meet someone is broadened. Be open to friends introducing you to folks. Go to concerts or venues or places you’ve never been to. Don’t let the unfamiliar discourage you from going out and being open!”
