Trace has documented some of his projects in Warden since launching his own construction business. In September 2022, Trace remodeled his bathroom with the help of his brother. Many commend their work and predict that their company will grow. But it seems it has yet to reach its potential after a year. Some Redditors even began to doubt that the business still runs today.

Are Trace & Waren Still Working Together?

Some Reddit users reacted to Alyssa Bates’ recent vlog featuring Trace and Warden building bunk beds for the kids. According to the poster, it’s been a while since the two last worked together, putting Bates Construction in question. Meanwhile, some think that the business hasn’t been that big since the beginning.

I don’t get the sense Trace’s business is that big – nor was it that big when it was Paine Construction. My sense is the biz belongs to the owner and they take whatever little jobs they get bc they need to make money for their own families.

The same commenter added that the brothers are just waiting for work to come, which is why they call in other people when they get big projects. While it’s unclear if the business still runs today, some said it was wise for them to work at their own pace as it helps them manage their own time.

“The good thing about owning your own business is that you can make your own schedule and aren’t required to put in hours when business is slow just to keep busy,” one person said.
“The trade business is a billion-dollar company if done right. I see Trace waiting for people to contact him for small jobs,” another Reddit user added.

Aside from his own business, Trace also took over Lawson’s lawn care business. He also served as a deputy sheriff for the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department in Clinton, Tennessee. On the other hand, Warden does part-time jobs at the Bates Tree Service along with some of his brothers, Zach, Lawson, Nathan, Trace, Jackson, and Isaiah. He’s currently in a relationship with Taylor Maples. Unfortunately, he’s one of the few Bates who hasn’t been active online.
