Mama June Slammed For Exploiting Grieving Granddaughter
Mama June Shannon is being slammed for exploiting her grieving granddaughter. When her daughter, Anna Cardwell passed away a week ago today, she left behind two little girls. Now, June has been trying to put her life back together. Yet, she has been bringing one of Anna’s girls with her and it is killing fans. Read on for more details.
Mama June Slammed For Exploiting Grieving Granddaughter
It has been just a week since Anna Cardwell passed away from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. She had finished her radiation and it seemed like she was in good spirits. Sadly, things took a turn, and the family headed out on her last trip together. Upon returning home, prayers were requested by the family, and that made fans believe Anna was in bad shape. Mama June and family shared that Anna passed away on December 9th in June’s home after staying there a little over three weeks. She was surrounded by love, her two daughters, and her husband, Eldridge Toney.
June is now the caretaker of Anna’s eldest daughter, Kaitlyn, 11, and she is getting called out for recent behavior. Along with her husband, Justin Stroud, they went out to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse while running some errands, Kaitlyn in tow. Yet, as they were doing so, June opted to film the experience. Clearly, Kaitlyn was disengaged from what was going on as she had her electronics to keep her occupied. They had to shoe and food shop but fans felt very strongly that this was unnecessary.

More so, it was believed Kaitlyn should not be in the spotlight while she mourned the loss of her mother. Fans immediately shared their thoughts about how she should not be filmed during this time:

Hate For Justin
The anger was not just directed at Mama June but also at her husband, Justin Stroud. There was a point where they were checking out at the store. Kaitlyn noted that she wanted some candy and he said no. Then he proceeded to pay with a big stack of cash. Fans believed that he was way too harsh on her after losing her mother and should have given her a treat. They also said without the family, he would not have all of the money either.
