Why Michelle Dropped Jill’s Contract In Middle Of Night?
Counting On star Jill Duggar has been through some hardships during her time on the reality show. In her book, “Counting The Cost,” she revealed that she was “tricked” into signing a contract in 2014 without knowing what it was. She later shared that she was supposed to receive money from the family’s LLC, Mad Family Inc.
However, she never received anything, which started her money dispute with her dad. The 32-year-old also surprised many with how she received the contract. Recently, some Redditors discussed what may be the reason behind Michelle’s decision to give her daughter the contract she requested.
Counting On: Jill Duggar’s Claims Against Her Dad
Jill shared nasty things about her father in her memoir. One of them is about how he controlled all of the family’s money. According to the Counting On alum, they requested a copy of the 2014 contract she signed and expressed their desire to get an attorney involved. But the patriarch rejected the idea multiple times and offered his daughter a sum of money to settle things and sign another NDA, which would restrict her from talking about certain topics about the family.
Why Did Michelle Drop Contract In Middle Of Night?
Some Redditors speculated the reason behind Michelle’s decision to drop the contract Jill and Derick had been requesting in the middle of the night. According to some, avoiding the attorneys could be the reason for the contract’s midnight arrival.
Instead we got Michelle trying to circumvent their request. And then there was Jim Bob, coming in after that, STILL asking them if they could please deal with this without the attorney.
Others agreed and added that Michelle and Jim Bob may have hoped that handing over the contract and making themselves look like they were losing might trick Jill and Derick into settling their dispute privately. But the two were wise enough and insisted on seeking an attorney.

Jill has already spent time with some of her siblings this year. In April, she gave Michelle a big hug during their all-girls get-together. It seems that the Counting On alum is no longer distancing herself from the family. However, it seems that she and her father still haven’t made up. Their status remains a mystery today. But many are glad that the fourth Duggar child is finally becoming more in touch with her family in Arkansas.
There are speculations that Jill Duggar’s explosive revelations in her book may have upset Jim Bob. The fourth Duggar child also revealed in an interview that none of her siblings in Arkansashave reacted to her title.
