However, some think that the 32-year-old went too far in her recent content with her husband, Derick Dillard. The Counting On alum was also successful in her book, “Counting The Cost,” which tells the struggles she and her husband experienced during the reality show and how they stepped away from the IBLP. Meanwhile, Derick has been busy working as an Assistant District Attorney with the State of Oklahoma, District 27. Due to this, he hasn’t been able to post a lot of content on his social media page. But some fans were surprised by his sudden appearance.
Derick Criticized In Latest Promotion
Derick recently took to Instagram to promote a therapy tub. He was also shirtless in the clip to add realism to his advertisement. But some aren’t impressed by what he did. According to some Redditors, the Counting On alum should’ve known better, especially with his profession as a lawyer.
- “Why would anyone post a picture like that on the internet in a serious manner?” one person said.
- “Especially when he’s a damn lawyer. I know personal injury lawyers put out some pretty dubious ads but shilling crap on Instagram is unseemly,” replied a second,” another person added.
- “I’m actually surprised he’s posting paid influencer content. I assumed that would be prohibited as a conflict of interest for his job,” one Redditor said.
Jill Duggar has yet to share comments about the negativity her husband received in his latest post. However, she took to his comments section to express how proud she is of his latest endorsement.

Aside from being a lawyer, Derick also helped Jill throughout her journey by relating her memoir. He’s been a supportive husband and an amazing father. The Counting On alum spends most of his free time with his kids. There are also times when he joins them in their swimming lessons.
On the other hand, Jill Duggar has been in a frenzy trying to promote her title. She has also participated in some interviews, including her appearance in Shiny Happy People, which puts her relationship with the Duggar family in question once more.
