Jill Duggar Selling Special Gift From Jim Bob?
Counting On fans have seen the Duggar kids grow up using different kinds of instruments throughout the years. Many of them have performed under the IBLP even when they turned adults. One of the most memorable moments was the patriarch getting his kids a harp. Jill later received a harp from her father as well. However, it seems that the 32-year-old has different plans for the instrument now, amid her estrangement from the family. Keep reading to see what Jill did to her harp.
Counting On: Jill Duggar’s Love For The Harp
Jill has shown her love for the harp throughout the years. She had played it a few times during her time on the show and continued using it after becoming estranged. In 2019, the Counting On alum serenades her husband by playing in front of him. “Fun family time during law school fall break = I get to be serenaded with beautiful harp music from Jill while I study,” Derick captioned.
Jill also shared on the Duggar family’s blog that music was a big part of her life growing up. According to her, she took piano lessons at the age of 5 and began to use the violin at 11. She later fell in love with the harp and played it with some of her sisters. “Even though practice wasn’t always my favorite thing to do as a kid, I’m so glad my parents encouraged me to stick with it because now I can just play for relaxation and enjoyment,” she added.
Jill Billed By Jim Bob For The Harp?
One of the biggest revelations in Jill’s book, “Counting The Cost,” was the itemized bill her dad allegedly sent her. According to the Counting On alum, Jim Bob billed her for the expenses throughout her life until she turned 18, totaling $134,00. This supposedly includes the harp he gave her. However, some Redditors think that the instrument given to Jill Duggar was the one that they received for free through a donation.
Jill has also kept the harp at her house for many years. Some of her IG posts also include glimpses of the instrument. But she’s no longer using it, which may be due to her busy life as a mother. But it seems the former TLC star found a purpose for the harp, and it’s none other than to sell it.

Some Redditors shared their thoughts on a recent photo of what appears to be Jill’s harp listed for sale online. According to the poster, someone on FB saw the post, and the harp looked like the one that was given to her and billed by Jim Bob. Many also supported the Counting On alum if the rumors were true.

- “Jill deserves all that and a huge pile of cash – at least a million, and arguably much more, given the value-add of her specific story to the show,” another commenter added.
