Farmer Wants A Wife Season 2

Undoubtedly, Farmer Wants A Wife Season 1 was a hit for FOX. So fans are excited to see the new season is heading their way this winter. But to tide fans over in the meantime, the next edition of Farmers is lined up. In February, fans will see four studs strut their stuff as they meet multiple women to see if one lucky lady is a perfect match. Notably, the show helps rural farmers overcome the challenge of finding a wife with assistance from host, Jennifer Nettles.

Fox Announces The New Cowboys

At this time, Fox has announced the four new Farmer Wants A Wife cowboys: Ty Ferrell, 42, Mitchell Kolinsky, 27, Brandon Rogers, 29, and Nathan Smothers, 23. During the show, the four farmers meet and mingle with women to see if there is a spark. Then, each farmer picks their top five choices and invites them to return to the homestead to get a taste of the country. Over six weeks, the cowboys wrangle not only their normal day-to-day chores but also sneak in time with the prospective sweethearts to see if they are wifey material. But not only does this give time to unwrap romance it also gives the primarily “city-girls” a taste of farming life. In the end, the cowboys must choose who they believe they can build a life and future with, and in turn, the chosen woman decides if this is a life they can live.

Farmer Wants A Wife: Farmer #1: Ty Ferrell, 42

Among the new cowboys is the first rural romance seeker: Ty Ferrell, 42. He joins Farmer Wants A Wife from Sikeston, MO. Notably his farm is a 50-acre farm with horses and roping cattle. Additionally, he is a team roper for a living. Unique from any of the Season 1 farmers, Ty is a divorced dad. This handsome man comes as a package deal with his 12-year-old daughter. Admittedly, he loves his life and has been roping since he was a kid. While he loves life, he is seeking someone to walk by his side.

Farmer #2: Mitchell Kolinsky, 27

Farmer Wants A Wife’s second bachelor is Mitchell Kolinsky, 27 originally from Knoxville, TN, but is now living in Mount Juliet, TN. He is a first-generation farmer of a new 19th-century farm with a cabin. Mitchell lives there with his three dogs and is eager to add a wife to the mix. Although his property is surrounded by a wooded area, it gives growth potential. It also attracts a variety of wildlife to the homestead. While his history started in Knoxville with horses and a love for the outdoors, his family wasn’t in farming. Notably, he fell in love with the outdoors and bought his first farm to become a horse and cattle rancher.

Farmer #3: Brandon Rogers, 29

Next, Brandon Rogers, 29 is the most remote farmer in the group. He is from Center, CO, and is a second-generation potato and barley farmer on his 1,000-acre farm. Notably, he lives in a small town with one stoplight and intimately is surrounded by only his farmland. Additionally, he spent his childhood on the farm working with his dad. While he left for some time, he returned in his twenties to carry on the family farming legacy. Although his business is established, he is hoping to find a special person to share it with.

Farmer #4: Nathan Smothers, 23

And the final Farmer Wants A Wife cowboy is a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer from Bartow, FL: Nathan Smothers, 23. He resides on a 300-acre farm and also has an additional 500+ acre cattle property. Not only does Nathan presently live on the property, but he also grew up working the family farm and citrus groves. Notably, he is one of the youngest farmers on the show but he stepped into the role of farm at 12 years old after he lost his dad. Sadly, this forced him to grow up quickly and take the role of man of the house. Since then he has been helping to support his mom and three sisters. Although he left for college, he returned to live and work on the farm full-time after graduation. He is eager to find the love of his life.

Fans can catch the premiere of Farmer Wants a Wife season 2 on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
