Jenelle Evans’ Former Bestie Arrested For Murder
Teen Mom alum Jenelle Evans’ former best friend has been arrested for murder. Despite being estranged, this is probably a good thing with all that Evans has going on in her life. So, who is it, and what exactly has transpired? More so, why did they fall out? Read on for all of the details.
Jenelle Evans’ Former Bestie Arrested For Murder
The last few months have been a struggle for Jenelle Evans. She had regained custody of her son Jace, 14, and then he proceeded to run away three times in less than two months. He also alleged that his stepfather, David Eason had assaulted him. Therefore, he was placed in CPS custody and went back to live with his grandmother, Barbara. It appeared that Jenelle and David were being closely monitored and had to comply with a lot. Plus, a warrant was out for David’s arrest and he was charged with child abuse. Now, another blow has been dealt to Jenelle.
According to The Sun, a former best friend of hers, James Spivey, has been arrested. His charge is first-degree murder as he shot and killed a man named Coty Allen Gales. Gales was just thirty years old when he died. Spivey shot Gales on Friday, December 8th, 2023, shortly before 9 pm EST. He was charged as he: “unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did of malice aforethought kill and murder Coty Gales.” Apparently, James was due in court earlier on Monday afternoon so more should come out at a later date.
It seems Coty Gales suspected that he was in danger. He posted an ominous message on his social media:
“Still [trying] to turn these names in before they find a way to poison me and make me look guilty like I would ever just roll over and DIE from some b’s a** disease..lmao #I do Workout. I read more than the average person!! # Strong Mental And Know every NAME I’ve been reporting [is] guilty of what I’ve been reporting they keep stopping it but it won’t stop me!!!”
So, why did James and Jenelle Evans actually stop speaking and when did that happen?

James Spivey and Jenelle Evans had a very close friendship until 2020. Then, things went south. Allegedly, Jenelle and her husband, David Eason had been fighting so James and his partner came to help her gather her stuff. Unfortunately, David got into an altercation with James and there was an arrest warrant. The reason for this was that David used a handgun on James but he did not appear to have shot at him. Rather, he hit him on his neck and in his back with the gun. Eason did threaten to “blow James’ f**king brains out” but nothing came of it.
