Anna Cardwell’s Condition Getting Worse, Family Asks For More Prayers?
Is Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell’s condition becoming so grave that her family has been forced to ask for even more prayers? Early on Friday, December 8th, prayers were requested but with no context. Now, at nightfall, more are needed. Read on for additional details.
Anna Cardwell’s Condition Getting Worse, Family Asks For More Prayers?
At the very beginning of the month, Anna Cardwell’s family took off on her final trip. She wanted to go to Gatlinburg so they were all making it happen. Unfortunately, due to school obligations, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson was unable to attend. Yet, everyone else was ready and raring to head out. Anna had just finished her last round of radiation and she seemed pretty chipper about this. However, the prognosis was still grim. Her mother, Mama June, had shared that Anna, who has stage 4 adrenal carcinoma, was terminal. That being said, Anna wanted her kids to have great memories of her.

Now, Anna’s aunt, Doe Doe Shannon has posted a call for prayers on her Instagram. She had asked for prayers earlier on her Facebook page. Allegedly, Doe Doe, who is June’s sister, was not there when Anna was initially sick but it seems all of that has changed. Though she did not say why she needed prayers, her followers had a pretty good sense:

Of course, some really hoped that it had nothing to do with Anna. Yet, others felt it was Anna-related and said immense prayers for her and the whole family. Then, Anna Cardwell’s younger sister, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird shared praying hands in her Instagram story along with a call for prayers.
It is unknown how bad off Anna is right now but the hope is that she is at least resting comfortably and her children are not watching her suffer. They are aware of what is going on but it is not something they should ever have to go through.
A Special Day
This is a bittersweet day for the family. As they struggle with Anna Cardwell and her seemingly declining health, it is also a special day in the Efird home. Pumpkin and Josh Efird’s oldest child, Ella is six today. Hopefully, they were still able to celebrate the miracle that is Ella the spitfire amid all of the sadness and heartache.
