Teen Mom star Leah Messer is facing more uncertainty in the workplace. Just after getting her real estate license, it’s listed as “inactive.” Why is that the case?

Messer has certainly faced some ups and downs in the job market throughout fall. Just as she got her real estate license, she told fans that she has been let go from her job. That was devastating enough, but now her future as a real estate agent could be in jeopardy. Fans want to understand what the “inactive” status of her license means, which The Sun reported exclusively.

Why Did Teen Mom Star Leah Messer Lose Her Job?

Messer, 31, shared that she secured her real estate license on Sept, 25. She had a job lined up, but then announced she lost that job in October. No real reason was given. The company simply stated that they didn’t see them and Messer being a great fit due to some “unforeseen circumstances.”

Fans took to social media to support the reality star, as she continues documenting her journey in life via Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Some fans suspected that Leah’s reality TV show past had an impact on the decision, while others suspected it was due to a lack of sales. The lack of sales seems a little unfair as Leah wasn’t even in the job for a month, but this was a small brokerage and there are sales targets for all employees.

The biggest concern for fans is that the license now appears as “inactive.” Has she lost that at the same time as losing her job?

What Does ‘Inactive’ Mean for the Teen Mom Star?

Now Messer’s license is listed as “inactive,” but does this mean that she no longer has a license? The good news is Messer can continue her journey as a real estate agent. She just needs to find another company to work with. The “inactive” status simply means that the license is dormant and that the person holding the license is not working for a company. It will be active again when Leah starts working for another real estate agency.

The license is valid until June 30, 2024. All agents need to take steps to renew their licenses, which often includes some form of continuation education credits. If Leah chooses not to renew the license, it will then be classed as “expired.”

The Teen Mom star is not giving up on her dream to be a real estate agent. After all, this dream took almost three years to achieve, as she started the studying process back in November 2020.

This is not her only business venture, though. She also filed a trademark for Go Higher With Purpose in January 2021. This is for her personal coaching and healthy living business idea, showing that she is turning her life around after her stint in rehab. She also has plans for a podcast and blog about self-reliance and preparedness.
