Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Discuss Early Marriage Conflict

Kelly Ripa Talks About How People From New Jersey Struggle
In the Tuesday, November 21 episode of the Live With Kelly And Mark show, Kelly Ripa talks about how people from New Jersey don’t know how to travel. Markedly, Kelly is from New Jersey. Correspondingly, she reads an article that states while in airports, New Jersey patrons bring oversized carry-on luggage, struggle to get off the airplane, stop in the aisle, have trouble with TSA scanners, and stand too close to the carousel to retrieve their bags. Then that sparks a note with Kelly who says that she considers Mark the gargoyle of the luggage carousel. Insisting that he hovers and is always inching closer.
Mark Consuelos Remembers An Early Relationship Argument
During the topic, Mark Consuelos brings up an early marriage “squabble” he and Kelly Ripa had to work through. At first, he says he knows why people from New Jersey have a hard time with travel. Despite his confidence in the statement, Kelly stops and tells him to go ahead and tell her so she can shoot the idea down. Jokingly, Mark says, “Well first of all, if you have to get out and pump your own gas, you are going to be like, ‘What’s this?'”
He brings up the early relationship problem that they argued over how to pump gas in their car. He says, “What do you mean you can’t pump your own gas? I want to pump my own gas!” Saying to the audience, “You can’t do that in New Jersey. We actually had a little squabble over that early on in the relationship.” Kelly Ripa responds, “Yes. Yeah. You tried to get out and pump your own gas, and I was like, ‘You can’t do that here.'” Then Mark recalls saying, “That’s ridiculous.” And Mark relays that Kelly at the time said, “You’re ridiculous!”
Kelly Ripa Recalls Questioning Mark Consuelos’ Judgement On Several Things
Then Kelly remembers, “Also, if you’ll recall, we had rented — and this is why Mark doesn’t pay attention to details. When we went to the rental company to pick up the car, it was an iridescent purple car that sometimes looked green, sometimes looked yellow, sometimes looked purple.” Continuing she reminisces, “Do you know what I’m talking about? So Mark didn’t think that was a big deal.. And I was like, ‘We can’t go home in this car. My parents will think something happened to us!'”
