Tragic breaking news for fans of TLC’s My 600-Lb. Life as Vianey Rodriguez from Season 7 has been confirmed dead. Her brother-in-law, Jason Lewis, broke the heartbreaking news to fans via Facebook. Jason also created a GoFundMe to help his brother Allen foot the bill for the sudden and unexpected passing of his beautiful wife.

Jason penned in the GoFundMe campaign he started just 12 hours ago: “It’s with a heavy heart, to let you know that my brother’s wife passed away at 3:45pm at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri.”

The post continued: “I want to go on record to say that Vanessa was a STRONG WILLED woman who ALWAYS had love in her heart and opened that heart to anyone that needed help, she reached out her hand.”

Sadly, Jason added that the death of Vianey Rodriguez was sudden and unexpected. News of her passing started to make rounds in Facebook groups and on Reddit early this morning. Furthermore, fans of the TLC series poured into the comments of Vianey’s final Facebook post. In response to her passing, many noted they would miss her daily Facebook posts.

Her brother-in-law penned in the comments of her final Facebook post: “It pains me that I bring this terrible news to you all. I wish it was much better. My brother appreciates the support and love, but please continue to do so, let him feel he’s not alone!”

What Was Her Cause Of Death?

As My 600-Lb. Life fans know, Vianey Rodriguez was 35 years old when she appeared on Season 7 of the TLC series with her husband. Unfortunately, her birth date nor her exact age is listed on her Facebook profile. Fans, however, assume she was in her early 40s at the time of her passing.

According to her brother-in-law, she originally sought medical treatment because she had COVID-19. While receiving treatment for COVID, she developed pneumonia. Jason shared in a final update before her passing: “Her respiratory rate has gone down hill. She’s being monitored 24/7 by the wonderful staff at the hospital.”

Jason added that his brother asked him to update My 600-Lb. Life fans as he was too distraught to take the time to share what was going on.

He continued to explain: “Per her choice, she has decided on a DNR. My brother wants me to apologize because he does have issues trying to process this as well as explain. So, he has asked me to update.”

Presently, the GoFundMe campaign has raised $485 of the $1,500 the family is trying to come up with to help curb the cost of her sudden passing.
