Jenelle Evans May Permanently Lose Custody Of Jace?

MTV’s Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans is at risk of permanently losing custody of her 14-year-old son, Jace. As fans know, the North Carolina Child Protective Services (CPS) removed Jace from Jenelle’s home in response to an allegation that he was attacked by her husband, David Eason.

The North Carolina Child Protective Services (CPS) started to look into Jenelle and David after Jace ran away from home three times in such a short window. Initially, Jenelle and David claimed Jace just ran away after getting his phone taken away as a form of punishment.

By the third time he ran away, however, he claimed he was running to get away from David Eason. Moreover, Jace promised he would run again if he was placed back in their home.

To date, Jenelle Evans and her husband maintain that David is innocent. Likewise, they claim media outlets are twisting the story and getting facts wrong. Regardless of what is and isn’t true, Jace was removed from their home.

According to The Sun, CPS is ready to wrap things up. An insider close to the family tells the outlet that CPS wants to get out of the picture as soon as possible so Jace’s life can return to normal.

CPS doesn’t want to be involved for any longer than they have to. They want to get the child settled into whatever is best for him as soon as possible.”

The insider adds that because of Jace’s age, he is able to advocate for himself. So, what Jace wants and has to say will be a factor in what decision is made. And, as the teenager has reportedly made it very clear he does NOT want to live with Jenelle and David.

A Decision Will Be Made Next Month

Per the insider, permanent custody of Jace will see the inside of a courtroom early on during the month of December. The insider clarified that a judge would be making the final decision. This judge, however, will listen to Jace as he is old enough to speak for himself.

The source continued to share: “The judge will heavily consider what Jace says he wants since he’s 14, and can speak for himself. He could say he wants to stay with his grandmother, or he could tell the judge he’s open to going back to Jenelle’s if David isn’t there- but whatever he says, that will carry the most weight in the final decision.”

Sadly, there are reports that Jenelle has not spoken to her son since he was removed from her home. Likewise, Jenelle Evans has previously gone on record saying she would never put her husband before her son. When she was previously posed with having to kick out David or lose the kids, she said she would choose David. So, Teen Mom fans suspect she won’t kick David out for Jace.
