This is a twisty story about a woman and her sister who make a vow that they will have met their soulmate in a year. Now, it is the next year and one sister is getting married, while the other finally meets someone that she thinks is Mr. Right. But, in her excitement, she loses the perfect guy’s information thanks to the Real Mr. Right.

What Is Lifetime’s Christmas Plus One About?
Lifetime is kicking off its annual holiday programming It’s A Wonderful Lifetime with the romcom Christmas Plus One. What is this movie all about? According to The Futon Critic, sisters Cara and Amy are tired of being single. Moreover, they are tired of bad dates. They want the real thing. They both make a Christmas wish, and it is the same thing.
Therefore, that Christmas they decided to make a pact. In one year they are to meet and marry their soulmate. That means they need to find the one by next Christmas. However, neither thinks this is realistic. But, they can dream, right? Besides, Christmas wishes always come true.
Now, it is nearly a year later. Amy is getting married at Christmas. Cara isn’t sure she will be able to meet the right guy. She will just be satisfied finding a plus-one. Once she gives up, she suddenly meets Chase. The two meet when they have travel issues and need to share a car ride home.
The six-hour ride breezes by. That is because the two instantly connect. They have the same niche tastes and enjoy quirky holiday traditions. Chase is perfect, so Cara asks him to be her plus-one.
But, a crazy mishap occurs, and Cara loses her phone because of Michael. Michael is a writer who is tasked to write a list of Christmas activities. As this writer is more of a Scrooge, he is at a loss for what to do. But because he keeps running into Christmas-loving Cara, he enlists her to help him find those special Christmas activities.
She is going to these events because she knows Chase will be attending some of these activities. Cara doesn’t want to lose her true soulmate.
But, she soon learns that perhaps what she thinks is perfect is not what fills her heart.
