Now that the SAG-AFTRA strike is officially over, NCIS fans are finally getting some firm dates on the two American franchises. Just a few days ago, the network revealed when they plan to start production. Now, they have announced a premiere date for both series.

Here is the latest information.

CBS Announces Premiere Date For Two NCIS Franchises

CBS is not holding back on letting NCIS fans know when they can expect to see the premiere of their flagship franchise universe. On Monday, Deadline reported that the network announced its schedule. This includes the premiere date of Monday, February 12, 2024.

That means the NCIS Season 21 premiere is at 9 p.m., Eastern, with Hawaii Season 3 premiere at 10 p.m., Eastern, both on CBS.

This announcement is the natural next step. Immediately after the WGA strike was resolved, writers were reporting to prepare for the new seasons. Next, after the actors’ strike was over, there was news that NCIS would start production in early December.

How Many Episodes Will Each Show Have?

Although CBS has announced the February 12 premiere of both American NCIS franchises, they did not reveal the exact number of how many episodes each series will have. However, the Monday announcement reveals an estimate that there will be 10-13 episodes made for this strike-shortened season.

What To Expect In OG Series

Firstly, NCIS fans are expecting some sort of tribute episode for David McCallum. This could potentially lead to some of the former stars of the series to return. Could this be a good enough reason for Michael Weatherly or Mark Harmon to come back and have their characters honor Ducky?

However, the main storyline has to do with Nick Torres. Season 20 ended in a cliffhanger with the agent pointing a gun at the man who ruined his family’s life. Moreover, will the shortened 10-13 episodes tell this entire story and resolve it?

Also, Knight and Jimmy’s relationship has taken a big step forward at the end of Season 20. What could be next?

What Should NCIS: Hawaii Fans Expect In Season 3?

At the end of NCIS: Hawaii Season 2, Jane Tennant may have pushed her team to the point of no return. Can her team forgive her? Can she earn back the trust of her team and superiors?

This could be the season of redemption, or it could delve further into other complicated parts of her previous job.

What should make it interesting is that Agent Sam Hanna is going to be around. LL Cool J’s role is mysterious and intriguing. This promises to be a fantastic season.

NCIS fans, are you counting down til the return of both of the American series? Don’t forget that NCIS: Sydney premieres on Tuesday, November 14, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on CBS, as well as streaming on Paramount+.
