Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband Hit With $20K Judgment
According to RadarOnline, Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter has received a hefty court-ordered judgment after trying to sidestep his credit card debt. Court documents obtained by the outlet confirm a judge in Florida approved UBS Bank USA’s motion for a judgment against Kevin Hunter.
Per the court order, Wendy Williams’ ex-husband has to pay $20,176.83 to UBS Bank USA. He is also urged to make haste on the payment as the amount will increase with interest until it is paid in full.
Wendy Williams’ ex-husband did receive paperwork ordering him to appear in court to discuss this matter. He, however, decided to skip out on appearing in court the same way he skipped out on paying his credit card bill.
Details Of The Lawsuit And Credit Card Debt
The court documents reveal that UBS Bank USA turned to the courts seeking court-ordered judgment because Kevin Hunter was unwilling to pay off his credit card debt. The bank adds it was back in 2014 when Wendy Williams’ ex-husband was issued the credit card. For a while, he did make all of his payments on top. He, however, suddenly stopped making payments altogether.
By March of this year, the bank accused him of owing them $20,176.83 in unpaid credit card debt.
Defendant has failed to make the minimum monthly payments by the payment due date, as required by the Cardmember Agreement.
The financial institute adds that they tried to make contact with Wendy Williams’ ex-husband in both January and March of this year about his outstanding bill. Unfortunately, he made it abundantly clear that he was not making payments on the debt.
Wendy Williams’ Husband Isn’t In A Good Place
The hits just keep coming for Kevin Hunter. As fans know, it has only been a few months since his fight for alimony checks came to an end.
Her ex-husband stated: “I’m behind on credit card payments because I have no money since the severance payments were suspended. My life has been greatly affected since the plaintiff stopped making payments under our settlement agreement.”
Trying to resolve his financial issues, he sold his home in Florida for $1 million. Furthermore, he filed a $10M lawsuit against The Wendy Williams Show producers. In the lawsuit, he claims producers wrongfully terminated him in response to his divorce. This particular case is still ongoing. Furthermore, the judge ruled to resolve the issue with Wendy’s bank account and the alimony checks at a later date.
