‘The $100,000 Pyramid’ Why Isn’t There A New Episode This Week?

Here’s why The $100,000 Pyramid fans will have to wait another week to catch Michael Strahan in a brand new episode.

It has now been a week since Strahan has been on TV in any capacity. It’s also been nearly two weeks since Strahan has made a regularly scheduled live appearance on TV.  The NFL Hall Of Famer has been oddly absent from television airwaves since taping an episode of Good Morning America on October 26. Since then, the only appearance Strahan has made on TV was a pre-recorded new episode of The $100,000 Pyramid on November 1.

Strahan has even been absent from his duties as an NFL analyst on Fox NFL Sunday. On November 6, an ABC spokesperson issued a statement addressing Strahan’s recent absence from television. “Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters. We appreciate everyone’s thoughts and concerns.”

When Can Fans Expect A New Episode Of The $100,000 Pyramid?

For those hoping to get their Strahan fix with a new episode of The $100,000 Pyramid, they will unfortunately have to wait until next week. The revival of the popular game show will not air a new episode this week. Despite the timing, Strahan’s personal matters and The $100,000 Pyramid skipping a week are completely unrelated.

So when can fans of The $100,000 Pyramid expect to see Strahan again? Although his live appearances for next week have yet to be confirmed, fans can see Strahan on a new episode of The $100,000 Pyramid on November 15 at its regularly scheduled time.

For anyone who doesn’t want to wait an entire week, previous episodes of The $100,000 Pyramid can also be seen on Hulu.

The Reason Behind The Schedule Change

Taking the place of The $100,000 Pyramid this week will be the 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards. Hosted by Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan, the CMA Awards will be broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. This will be the second year in a row that Manning and Bryan will be hosting together.

At a press event ahead of the awards show, Manning admitted his nerves while hosting last year. “I had some last year for sure,” said Manning. “I feel a little less nervous this year, mainly because I have a great co-host and wingman. The CMA and ABC kind of make things easy for you.”

Bryan echoed Manning’s sentiments. He says that he feels like the duo now have a level of comfort that wasn’t there last year. “Obviously Peyton has spent time in front of the camera and in big moments from years of football. I think being on Idol all that time I’m comfortable,” said Bryan. “Now we get up there, even a minute ago we were working on the script, laughing about stuff we’re coming up with.  As long as we can laugh at ourselves, have fun with it, that’s what we’re all about.”

“We’re still working through some kinks,” Manning said. “Luke has this idea I should sing a verse or two. It is a horrible idea. I have time to nix it still. You don’t want to hear me. Luke said it, we’re not afraid to laugh at each other. If we’re laughing and having a good time, the audience will as well.”
