Travis Barker Reveals Meaning Of New Son’s Name
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian welcomed their new baby son into the world and revealed his name. The reality TV couple named their son Rocky Thirteen Barker. While it seems like an unusual name, Travis had a good reason why they chose this name for the boy.

Travis Barker explains son Rocky’s name
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian welcomed their new son into the world on Saturday. They revealed that they chose to name their son Rocky Thirteen Barker. Travis has now revealed what the name means. As expected for Barker, the name has a musical connotation. However, it also connects with the world of movies and also Barker’s lucky number.
Barker explained that the name Rocky had been going through his head a lot leading up to their son’s birth. Travis actually dropped the name way back in July when on a podcast with his daughter Alabama. When he said the name Rocky Thirteen, Alabama said the name was “so bad” (via Complex). It seems like his daughter’s disapproval didn’t deter Travis from the name.
He then mentioned that one of the people his son was named after was Rocky George. This was the guitarist for the heavy metal rock band Suicidal Tendencies. Rocky also played with 40 Cycle Hum and Cro-Mags before joining up with Fishbone. As for the number Thirteen, Travis explained that it was the best number in the world. He actually has the number 13 tattooed on his elbow.
Finally, Travis said that Rocky was one of the best sports movies of all time. Naming his son Ricky Thirteen almost brings up the chance for jokes since most of the Rocky sequels were just numbers, such as Rocky 2, Rocky 3, etc.
Travis Barker’s kids have always had unusual names
Alabama Barker saying that Rocky Thirteen was a terrible name might be from her own personal experience. Travis didn’t name his daughter after the state of Alabama. Like Rocky’s connection to the Sylvester Stallone movie, Travis named his daughter after his favorite character from the movie True Romance. In that movie, Patricia Arquette plays a prostitute named Alabama who falls in love with Christian Slater’s Clarence and seeks a way to break with her pimp.
“We all have very authentic, weird names,” Alabama said (via E! News). While she said the name was terrible before, Alabama also said that she is “feeling” the name now. Travis’s other son is named Landon, and he has a step-daughter in Atiana De La Hoya as well as Kourtney’s three kids from her former partner Scott Disick.
