April Kirkwood made a memorable entrance by exiting the limo with an Easter basket full of eggs. “My eggs are still very fresh,” she seductively said to Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner.
Have the eggs since turned rotten? Kirkwood was a guest on Nick Viall’s Viall Files podcast earlier this week. She had a lot to say about her time in the Bachelor mansion, and some of it wasn’t very complimentary.
After getting sent home in Week 4, is the therapist from Florida done with love? Us Weekly reports that Kirkwood told Viall that she’s since gotten “a thousand” men DMing her.
“I definitely am looking for love, [but] for me it [needs to be] very organic,” she said about her romantic future.
In hindsight, April Kirkwood knows Gerry Turner wasn’t the one for her. “There’s certain things that I attach to somebody and then I [realize I’m in love and] had [Gerry Turner] been somebody like that when I lose all my brains.”

As they say, hindsight is 20/20, and now April Kirkwood is “glad” Gerry Turner sent her home. “I’m glad he’s not my guy! I don’t look like I belong on a wedding cake with him,” she said about the 72 year-old-retiree.
For one, she admitted on the podcast to feeling an “age gap” with Gerry Turner regarding certain interests, such as music. Us Weekly notes that Kirkwood is a Swiftie while Turner keeps it old school with Dean Martin.
“I really wasn’t feeling the connection to Gerry, so I didn’t care what happened,” April Kirkwood confessed about her time on The Golden Bachelor.
Golden Bachelor‘s Red Flags
Despite not feeling a connection with Gerry Turner, April Kirkwood said he “hurt her heart” by often ignoring her. As an example, she said he never noticed when she wore a bunny tail at one of the rose ceremonies.
“There were times when Gerry and I talked and he just seems to look right past me,” she said about one red flag she noticed.
