Paramount Announces Premiere Date Of Yellowstone Final Installment

Yellowstone fans have been waiting for nearly a year for the conclusion of Season 5. Now, they finally know how John Dutton’s saga ends. On Thursday, Deadline reported that Paramount has announced a premiere date for Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2. The final episodes will premiere in November 2024.

Originally, these episodes were slated to premiere in the Summer of 2023. However, due to chaos on the set due to Kevin Costner’s limited availability, as well as Taylor Sheridan’s lack of script, that premiere date was moved to November 2023.

This quickly became impossible due to the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes. While the writers have settled their strike, the actors have not yet signed an agreement. They are still at the bargaining table.

But, Paramount seems confident that this obstacle will be resolved and their flagship series will finally be completed.

Will Kevin Costner Be Back For The Remainder Of Season 5?

The biggest question surrounding the return of Yellowstone is whether or not Kevin Costner will return. Over the summer, when he was in court due to his messy Hollywood divorce, and his future earnings to determine child support, he revealed that he was not returning to the series. The Field Of Dreams star admitted that the contract negotiations broke down and Paramount walked away.

Prior to that, there was news from the set that Kevin had limited availability to return to the series. That is because he was filming his passion project, Horizon. Therefore, all of these reports seem to indicate that Kevin Costner will not be back.

However, Deadline does indicate that Kevin Costner will be likely back for Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2. Nellie Andreeva writes, “Mothership series star Kevin Costner’s future on the show has been the subject of speculation following a dispute over the size of his availability in Season 5. I hear that it is possible for him to be in Yellowstone’s final episodes.”

Yellowstone Season 2 Airing On CBS

Meanwhile, Yellowstone has been gaining new fans over on CBS. During the strikes, CBS decided to air the Paramount series on Sunday nights after 60 Minutes. This has been a huge rating success. The series has never been more popular.

Yellowstone fans, are you ready to watch the final installment in November 2024?
