Golden Bachelor Impresses Viewers
The Bachelor premiered over 20 years ago and has been a hit for the ABC network. Its success prompted a Bachelorette spinoff.
But after 27 seasons of The Bachelor and 20 of The Bachelorette, fans have grown tired of the drama in the Bachelor mansion. That’s why some fans were skeptical when ABC revealed plans for a senior version of the dating show.
But The Golden Bachelor immediately earned rave reviews from the fans who found the spinoff refreshing and “wholesome.” The contestants pursuing Gerry Turner are all seniors over the age of 60.
Many fans found relief from the pettiness of the 20-somethings as the older ladies supported each other with very little drama.
Gerry Turner Is Close To Finding Love
Even without the drama, Gerry Turner’s season is turning out to be ‘The Most Dramatic Ever’ as he heads into hometown dates.
Every rose ceremony gets harder as he narrows the field from 22 women to just one. Three women remain in the competition – Theresa Nist, Leslie Fhima, and Faith Martin. Fans are, of course, divided over who they hope wins Turner’s heart.
Has The First Golden Bachelorette Been Chosen?
With every elimination comes calls from Bachelor Nation fans to make the eliminated woman the first Golden Bachelorette. With so many choices, has the network chosen who will lead the possible spinoff?
First of all, ABC hasn’t even confirmed there will be a Golden Bachelorette, but the odds are very favorable.

A new season of The Bachelorette traditionally airs on ABC’s spring TV schedule.
Assuming ABC does greenlight a Golden Bachelorette spinoff, fans have already named Natascha Hardee, Nancy Hulkower, and Ellen Goltzer as the first lead.
However, a new name has been thrown in the ring. The show’s official Instagram account recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo of some of the ladies.

In the comments, fans gushed over Susan Noles. “I want Susan as the golden bachelorette!!!!!,” one person wrote. They added, “ I absolutely adore all of the ladies, however I think Susan would be an excellent choice due to her uniqueness and quirky personality.”
Another Bachelor Nation fan chimed in, “SUSAN FOR GOLDEN BACHELORETTE.”
