Jason Kelce Shares Worries About Travis & Taylor Swift

Thanks to Super Bowl LVII, brothers Travis and Jason Kelce took over the sports world as their love outshined their competitive nature. But that fame only escalated when Taylor Swift entered the arena, entertaining a romance with Travis. Since her first appearance, every sports show and camera can’t get enough. With Swifties overtaking the NFL, Jason recently discussed the growing relationship and some of the worries he has.

With the Philadelphia Eagles beating the Miami Dolphins over the weekend, Jason Kelce made his way to the Today Show on Monday to talk about his upcoming Christmas album. That’s right. The center is also a singer, but don’t worry, he isn’t aiming for Taylor Swift. His Christmas album is a collaboration with Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson for their charity event. With artists like Patti LaBelle on the album, Jason admitted he hoped to have Swift on the album one day. “That would be pretty incredible. Maybe in the future.”

Jason Kelce Knows His Brother Can Handle Himself

Before sharing his thoughts on a Taylor Swift collaboration, Jason talked about the media attention on Travis. He shared his “happiness” for his brother with NBC Sports but noted the attention around the couple is “a lot.” He said, “There’s paparazzi talking about him fueling his car before the game today and I’m like, ‘Is that really necessary information to share?’” He continued, “This is another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with.”

Although worried about his brother’s safety, Jason Kelce seemed thrilled about his success on and off the field. “On one hand, I’m really, really happy for my brother and where he’s at in his current situation with Taylor but on the other hand, there’s some, I think, alarms sometimes with how you know, over-in-pursuit people can be. Overall, he can deal with some of this. As long as it’s not, you know, becoming a threat to his safety and things like that.”

“All She Wants”

Jason Kelce isn’t the only one happy for Travis and Taylor Swift, Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid, is also overjoyed about the romance, noting the tight end is “getting better with time.” Not oblivious about the staggering amount of attention the team is getting, the coach insisted the singer “can stay around all she wants.” Before heading to Kansas City, Reid coached the Eagles and apparently knew Swift’s father. “I knew her from Philadelphia; her dad was a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young, and her dad.”

Besides having two Super Bowl rings, he is now somewhat taking credit for the romance that has taken over the NFL. Laughing about the comment, he explained how happy he was for the two of them.
